The Lincoln Trail Youth Salute (of Hardin County, KY, and surrounding counties) is part of a national program sponsored by the National Council on Youth Leadership. NCYL is a non-profit organization. Originally founded in 1976, NCYL and its authorized chapters are dedicated to the belief that the recognition we give to young men and women today serves as powerful inspiration to positively influence the leaders of tomorrow. Beginning with one high school in 1984, LTYS now recognizes teen leaders in 7 counties and 13 different area high schools.
